Disclosure Notice under the Financial Institutions Act

  • The Financial Institutions Act requires the information contained in this Disclosure Notice be provided to all clients in writing prior to the first sales transaction and when there is a material change in a client’s situation.

    Tyson Russell is licensed as a Life and Accident & Sickness agent in both BC and AB, as is his corporation, Tyson Russell Estate and Business Planning Services Ltd. DBA Accomplish Insurance Services. Tyson holds broker contracts to place insurance business with the following insurance carriers, through IDC Worldsource (Vancouver,) a Managing General Agency.

No insurer holds an ownership interest in Accomplish Insurance nor does Accomplish Insurance hold an interest in any insurance company.   • Compensation

    If a client chooses to purchase a product through Tyson, he will be compensated by a sales commission at the time of sale and may receive a renewal (or service) commission on policies that remain active. Commissions are paid by the insurance company that provides the product you purchased. For certain products I may receive a referral fee. Your financial objectives are his first priority.

    Conflict of Interest

    Tyson takes the potential of a conflict of interest very seriously. He will notify clients of any conflict of interest he may become aware of, with regards to a consideration of a product he is offering. His services take into consideration, and are based on analysis and assessment, of all his client’s financial needs.

    Privacy Commitment and Client File Consent

    Accomplish Insurance Services endeavors to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in dealing with client information and adheres to the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”).
    1. Accountability – Accomplish Insurance is responsible for the personal information Tyson receives from his clients and he will abide by the principles of PIPEDA in safeguarding that information in hard copy and computer documents. The employees of Accomplish Insurance also understand and abide by these rules.
    2. Collection Purposes, Limitations on Collection, Use, Disclosure and Retention – Any and all personal, corporate, financial, and related information is collected and kept solely for the purpose of providing advice. With your consent information on file related to you will be only disclosed to Accomplish Insurance employees, to companies whose products and services we offer, and to their employees and agents, for the sole purpose of providing financial products and services to you (and for, or related to, any other purposes you have authorized,) third party service providers selected and authorized by me, and persons or entities to which you have granted access or that are allowed access by law.
    3. Consent – The nature of Tyson’s work means that he must receive and retain a lot of personal information about his clients including health data, financial data, and identity verification. He uses this information to make judgments about your situation and to identify possible solutions to problems you might have. In becoming his client, and by signing this form, you agree to give Tyson this information, allow him to share this information with relevant financial companies and intermediaries, and to retain your information in his paper and electronic files for as long as you wish for him to be your advisor or as long as he has a business or legal need to retain the information. You also agree to receive electronic communications from Accomplish Insurance. You may withdraw your consent at any time but that will effectively end the business relationship.
    4. Information Accuracy – Accomplish Insurance relies on receiving accurate information in order to make appropriate recommendations. You may review the personal information that is retained about you upon request.
    5. Safeguards – All the personal information shared with Accomplish Insurance is stored in password protected computer files. Email correspondence is encrypted. If we produce paper copies and/or hard files, documents are shredded. The team at Accomplish Insurance understands the sensitivity of this information and the importance of protecting it.
    6. Questions, Concerns and Access – You may contact Tyson at any time by telephone, email or letter at the address shown on this page about your files with him and request changes. You may review PIPEDA online at www.privcom.gc.ca. If you have any complaints about the procedures in place, he will investigate and provide you with a response as soon as practical. A full copy of his Privacy Policy is available upon request. In accordance with applicable law and by your written request, you have the right to: review the personal information in your client file, request corrections to this information, and to revoke your consent subject to contractual limitations. If requested by you, additional personal documents such as copies of insurance policies, wills and powers of attorney may be kept in your client file.
